Freeport Intermediate School Student Council

The Freeport Intermediate School's Student Council (StuCo) embodies school leadership, with elected officers playing a pivotal role in shaping the school’s vibrant atmosphere. Dedicated students meet regularly to organize and promote key school events, including impactful initiatives like Red Ribbon Week and fun-filled Christmas Dress-Up Days. Beyond event planning, they proudly present campus and national appreciation days, acknowledging important occasions and individuals.

StuCo is also instrumental in orchestrating engaging school dances, handling everything from selecting themes and music to managing concessions and activities. Their commitment extends to a variety of other student activities, ensuring a dynamic and inclusive school experience for all. Additionally, demonstrating their dedication to community service, Student Council members actively participate in the cherished tradition of ringing the bell for the Salvation Army at Kroger during the Christmas season.

Through these diverse responsibilities, the FIS Student Council cultivates responsible leaders and fosters a strong sense of community within and beyond the school walls.
