Ian White was appointed as Principal at Freeport Intermediate in May of 2018.  Prior to this assignment, he was the Assistant Principal at FIS for 4 years and a math teacher and coach at Brazosport High School for two years. Before joining the BISD family, Ian spent 12 years in various educational settings throughout the state of Texas.  During those 12 years, he taught and coached in Dallas, Tenaha, Royal, and Carthage Independent School Districts. Additionally, Ian was a Plant Operations Director for two years at Tenaha ISD.  During his coaching career, he was fortunate enough to win State Championships in Football, Track, and Power-lifting and was a part of several other successful programs.


Ian received his Bachelors of Science degree from Harding University in May of 2000 while on a football scholarship where he graduated with a degree in Kinesiology and a minor in Math. In 2011, he received his Master’s degree from Stephen F. Austin University in Educational Leadership. Of a family of seven, he was the first to graduate from college and ultimately receive a Master’s degree.

Ian is married to Lekay White, his college sweetheart.  Lekay, also a member of the BISD family, is a special education teacher at Brazosport High School.  Ian and Lekay have two children; Ethan and Avery.  Both children attend schools in BISD.

 8th Grade Assistant Principal: Ana Flores

Mrs. Ana Flores is the Assistant Principal at Freeport Intermediate. This is her fifth year as Assistant Principal at FIS and for Brazosport ISD.

Mrs. Flores received a Bachelor's degree in Arts and Science with a major in English and a minor in Communications from the University of Texas Pan-Am (now UTRGV). She later went back and received her Masters degree in Educational Leadership from UT PAN-AM as well.

Mrs. Flores has 18 years of experience in numerous school districts where she enjoyed and excelled in teaching ESL, Reading/Writing, coaching volleyball and track and writing curriculum.  Before coming to BISD. Mrs. Flores was an Instructional Facilitator at Mission CISD.

Mrs. Flores is married to her husband of 20 years and together they have two daughters. Ashley Annette is a fulltime student at Brazosport College and Sasha Renee’ is a 6th grade student at Rasco Middle School.

Mrs. Flores believes in being a child’s advocate and helping them realize their own potential. Mrs. Flores says she is blessed to be part of such a great team, community and school district.

 Mrs. Randi Hunter7th Grade Assistant Principal: Randi Hunter

Randi Hunter is the 7th grade Assistant Principal and Freeport Intermediate School. This is her first year in the administrative role and she is beginning her 9th year in education. Mrs. Hunter has her Associates of Arts (Liberal Arts) degree from Pensacola Junior College; Bachelors of Science in Broadcast Journalism with a minor in English from William Carey University and both of her Master’s degrees in Education came from Ashford University. She also obtained her Administrative Leadership credentials from Lamar University in Beaumont, TX. Her undergrad years were spent as a collegiate athlete (basketball) and she even played two years of semiprofessional basketball for the Shreveport Suns out of Shreveport, La. 

Prior to her new campus assignment, she served as a Special Education teacher, department chair and coach at Brazoswood High School. For 5 years. Before moving into BISD, she and her family lived in Newton Texas where she began her educational career as a middle school teacher and coach. 

Mrs. Hunter is married to her husband of 5 years and they share two sons together; Marrio (9) is a 4th grade student at T.W. Ogg and Kason is two years old. Mrs. Hunter is blessed to have been afforded this opportunity and eager to continue to make a difference in the lives of the students at FIS along with the rest of her FIS family.
