Stephen F. Austin - Stephen F. Austin Elementary School was named after S. F. Austin, considered the father of Texas because the original homesite of his first colonies was just a short distance from the school.

Dr. A.P. Beutel - A.P. Beutel Elementary School was named after Dr. A.P. Beutel, General Manager of the Dow Texas Division, who had made substantial contributions to the district during its early formation.

Bess Brannen - Bess Brannen Elementary School was named for an outstanding former social studies teacher at Lake Jackson Junior High School.

O.A. Fleming - O.A. Fleming Elementary School was named after the superintendent at the time by the decision of the BISD Board of Trustees.

Madge Griffith - Madge Griffith Elementary School was named for longtime educator and the principal of Lake Jackson's first elementary school, Mrs. Madge Griffith.

Hopper Field (Stadium) - The football stadium was named in honor of Brazosport High School’s longest serving coach, Herbert Eugene Hopper, who served in that position beginning in 1927 and later became the athletic director of the district before finally retiring in 1971.

Ralphael O'Hara Lanier - O’Hara Lanier Middle School was named for Ralphael O'Hara Lanier, the first president of the Texas State University for Negroes and United States minister to Liberia.

Bob Leffingwell Natatorium - Brazosport High School’s natatorium was named for longtime swim coach Bob Leffingwell.

H.E. Marcum 9th Grade Center - Brazoswood High School’s 9th Grade Center was named for the first principal of Brazoswood High School, H.E. (Gene) Marcum. Mr. Marcum was a BISD teacher, assistant principal and was selected principal at Brazosport High School. In 1969, Marcum became the principal at Brazoswood High School until his retirement in 1991

Cottrell B. McGowan Gymnasium - R. O'Hara Lanier Middle School Gymnasium (In 1960, R. O'Hara Lanier High School Coach Cottrell McGowan led the Lanier Wildcats football team to the Class A State Championship, the first in BISD and in Brazoria County.)

Elisabet Ney - Elisabet Ney Elementary School was given the name Elisabet Ney for a Texas sculpturist who introduced art into the Texas public schools.

Dr. Gladys Field Polk - Gladys Polk Elementary School was named for Dr. Gladys Field Polk who served many years in the Brazosport ISD as the Director of Elementary Education, as a school principal and as a classroom teacher.

Grady B. Rasco - Grady Rasco Middle School was named to honor former Lake Jackson Junior high principal and longtime district educator, Grady B. Rasco.

Governor Oran Milo Roberts - O.M. Roberts Elementary School was named to honor Texas’ 17th governor.

Slade Field - The football/soccer/track facility at Brazoswood High school was named for longtime BISD educator and beloved assistant principal, James Slade.

Taylor Mullins Facility - BISD’s Maintenance and Operations facility was named for two of BISD’s longtime bus mechanics, Nat Taylor and Joe Mullins.

Wilson Baseball Field - The Brazoswood High School baseball complex was named for former Brazosport Superintendent, Mr. H.K. Wilson.
