Grand Champion Jazz Band

FIS Jazz band competed at the Willowridge Jazz Festival and came back with several awards! They played a difficult set and worked so hard to prepare for it. They left with a 1st division (Superior) rating, Outstanding Trumpet Section, Outstanding Sax Section, and overall middle school division winner. Sebastian Ruelas received a soloist award and Madison Cates received a Spirit of Jazz award for her featured solo performance. She performed the main part of the song in front of the band as a featured trumpet player! The band also earned the title of GRAND CHAMPION band! These students beat out multiple schools in both the high school and middle school division! GO FIS BANDS!!!
